No more plastic bottles!

Every plastic bottle we use and throw away, will disappear from our planet in 500 years. Although plastic, being used for almost everything, is important to us and we can not remove it from our lives completely, we can easily reduce the amount of plastic we use for everyday needs. To begin with, STOP using plastic bottles.

Water is completely free. When you buy a bottle from the shop, you actually pay for the transportation, you cover the expenses of the company, give a little for rich guys in suits, and of course, you pay for the plastic container. Why? You have an unlimited supply of water in your house. Why not just find a way to take it with you at work or at school? There is a way – aluminum bottles.

Last week I ordered my first Sigg bottle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigg) for only 20$. If it doesn’t break or something, I’ll save that money for a month by not using plastic bottles.

Sigg have very nice designs and they do not change the taste of the water like plastic bottles do. You can choose from 0,3L, 0,4L, 0,6L, 1.0L, 1.5L. There are several alternatives, depending on your location. Cheeki bottles, for example – http://www.cheeki.net.au/cheeki-bottles-about-us.htm, are also good and even a bit cheaper.

When you choose, you must be sure that your bottle is BPA free. I don’t know exactly why, but BPA is bad for your health (plastic bottles are full of it). It is believed it causes cancer. Anyway, just don’t buy a bottle made in China.

Save money, save the planet, take care of your health!
